Lisa Namerow, M.D., Hub Team Medical Director
Dr. Namerow is board certified in child & adolescent psychiatry. She has expertise in the medical treatment of mental health disorders in children and adolescents. She completed her residency in pediatrics, adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry and has maintained her boards in all 3 areas during her 20 years of clinical practice. She is currently the Director of consultation services to pediatrics at CT Children’s Medical Center and provides outpatient services at the Institute of Living/Hartford Hospital. In addition, Dr. Namerow serves as the consultant to CCMC’s Continuing Medical Education office providing curriculum development in children’s mental health for pediatricians.
Paul Weigle, M.D., Team Psychiatrist
Dr. Weigle is a child & adolescent psychiatrist and the president of the medical staff at Natchaug Hospital. He received his medical doctorate at New Jersey Medical School and did his medical internship, general psychiatry residency, and child and adolescent psychiatric fellowship at Harvard Medical School affiliates. Dr Weigle has over ten years experience in providing outpatient psychiatry for children and teens with psychiatric problems, and performed psychiatric evaluations for public schools. Dr. Weigle has served on the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry’s Media Committee since 2002.
Mirela Loftus, M.D., Team Psychiatrist
Dr. Loftus is an adult and child/adolescent psychiatrist. Dr. Loftus received her medical degree from the “Carol Davila Medical School” in Bucharest, Romania. She also received her PhD in Neuroscience at University of California in Davis. She completed her general psychiatric residency at University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, Connecticut and her child and adolescent fellowship training at the Institute of Living/Hartford Hospital. She has worked at the Institute of Living since graduation in 2007 mainly as an inpatient attending on the adolescent unit. She has also consulted for the Grace Webb Therapeutic School, the Right Track (LGBT program) and worked in the outpatient clinic. She currently serves on the Institutional Review Board of Hartford Healthcare, the Executive Committee at the Institute of Living and is the President Elect of the CCCAP (Connecticut Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists). She has a lifelong passion for advocacy for children mental health issues. Dr. Loftus’s clinical interests include acute mental health issues, collaborative care, early onset psychosis and barriers to mental health access for children and families.
Jasmine Mckenzie, Team Program Coordinator
Jasmine earned her B.S. in Psychology from Eastern Connecticut State University and is currently attending Boston University’s Masters in Social Work program. Jasmine has a history of working with children who have significant trauma and behavioral concerns. She has spent most of her professional career working in a therapeutic foster care setting, providing support to children ages 4-21. She is certified to facilitate the “Not a #Number” curriculum which focuses on preventing child trafficking and exploitation. Jasmine is passionate about the work that she does and is dedicated to helping families achieve their goals.
Nancy E. Hubbard LCSW, Team Administrator
Nancy Hubbard currently serves as the Director of Outpatient and Rehabilitative Services at the Institute of Living. Hartford Hospital. She oversees the Family Resource Center, two large Outpatient Clinics (Adult Outpatient Clinic, Institute Psychiatric Group serving geriatric, adult and children and adolescents) and the Department of Psychiatric Vocational Services. Nancy earned a BA from St Joseph College and an MSW from Boston College. She has a history of working with children ages 5-16 in PHP/IOP level of care, CCMC ED evaluations, Juvenile Detention Assessments, outpatient work, managed an adolescent male residential program, and worked in the Grace Webb School.
